The Academy’s Allocator Investment Huddles will focus on the sharing of ideas and collective wisdom from the executive investment decision makers who attend each of our smaller in-person huddles. The content for each Huddle will be sourced from both The Academy’s editorial committee as well as with the involvement from the participants attending each Huddle. Conversations and debates around the challenges and opportunities in this new world resulting from today’s pandemic, geo-political concerns, asset allocation, portfolio construction, ESG Integration, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, How manager due diligence is changing, managing the investment office and teams after covid, compensation structure, risk positioning, spending policy, investment processes, governance, updates on various strategies as well as other common issues and topical conversations surrounding an investment portfolio will be integrated into the program discussions. Our small group of senior executive level allocators/asset owners (25-30 per Huddle) will gather for a full one-day intensive meeting, addressing five different topic discussions in a confidential setting to interact, brainstorm, collaborate and tackle common issues with likeminded peers. Every allocator who attends will be asked to join in on various discussion topics that compliments their skills and expertise. The Academy’s vision is for each Investment Huddle Group to work as a team while adding educational value to discussions, learning from one another, sharing ideas, and engaging in as many conversations as possible over the course of one full day. The Academy will always kick-off the evening prior to the event with a reception/welcome dinner to get to know one another prior to the morning meeting. We are confident that all participants will develop long lasting relationships and friendships by attending!
Huddles will be limited to up to six managers from different asset classes who will be invited to participate and support each Academy Investment Huddle. Managers interested in joining a Huddle must meet the content criteria needed and be able to send their CEO/CIO or PM to spend time with our group of esteemed institutional allocators. The Academy has designed a thoughtful format that allows for a rich dialogue between our allocators and the small group of investment managers who are asked to participate. The Academy prohibits any use of PowerPoint presentations during Huddles as this is a time to talk face-to-face. The Academy has a very strict policy of no marketing or selling of funds, specific products, or services during any of our meetings and there will never be press or media in attendance.
ALLOCATORS: There is no fee for you to attend the huddle, however the Academy asks that you commit to attend the full day intensive discussions as well as the prior evening networking dinner. All participants will be responsible for the cost of your own travel and hotel expenses to and from the program. Meals included during event: Welcome reception and dinner as well as breakfast and lunch on the main day.
